Title: Chrome SC 1243
Post by: dsk on April 27, 2012, 05:05:06 PM
I have a 1243, looks and are used, but it works great. Actually a sturdy heavy telephone with a universal network. Enough to impress me!

And now, I saw this beauty at EBay, at the moment only $8.50

Had some problems deciding not to buy, but I save my money for a metal 302.

I have a very nice metal WE 302, but I think eventually I'd like to replace it with a chrome 302.. I love the look.

DSK, that's not a Stromberg-Carlson dial but rather an all plastic one (including the finger wheel) found on some decorator phones. Phoneco (Galesville, Wisconsin) used these dials on many 1940s phones. This often required cutting the housings to make the dials fit.
