A friend of mine got it. He's not on the Forum. He needed the brown number plate or bezel as some call it. Those parts are hard to find. If anyone needs the rest of it, send me a PM and I'll put you in touch. But be advised that the housing is badly cracked and the fingerwheel chipped and the coil cord is broken in several places. All that's left that isn't damaged are the handset plastics. Not sure about the mounting cord--it might not be brown.

So to answer Scott's question, yes he got a deal... on a decent brown Tenite number ring that completes a phone he already had. He also got the seller to use a flat rate box and reduce the shipping by about $10.

Perspective. For me it was a waste, for your buddy, it was gold.

That is a good story.  There are very few "spare parts" out there these days.  Buying a damaged phone is a great way to what's needed, and then sell the rest to get your money back, while helping other collectors....
