This is one of the first phones I ever purchased. It got sort of pushed in back of others and forgotten about.  >:( Today I found it covered with dust. I cleaned it up and found what looks like a never used WE Key set. All Dates Match 1941.... SEVENTY NINE years old.

Looks like the dial plate was changed out, otherwise this is untouched. Super nice dial card. A few minor marks in the paint, but it is superb. Cloth cords are in really nice shape, a little insulation off the line cord. I wired to work. with the two exposed wires from the line cord. No great mystery, it was left there for me to do! Dials out and a great rings with the ringer muffling attachment,

Really nice Red cord detangler.

It is amazing and disconcerting at the same time, when you find a beautiful phone like this that you own and didn't realize it was there!  :o ....Doug

Beautiful phone, Doug.

And, it's an interesting and somewhat uncommon variation, as it was designed for use with 755A PBX.

Doug,

Look in the TCI Library. Try a site Google search for 549 key.

There are several promising hits, including BSPs 512-220-100 Issue 7, April 1979 and C36.301, Issue 2, October,1953

Knowing it's a key, more can be found in the WE Catalog Cards:

Nice phone Doug!

I have a1948 Northern one that looks similar, but mine is a 465KC-3. The button on the far right turns instead of being a push button.

Looks like I will have to do some dusting too. :)
