Hey Everyone,

Since I am new at this ( 9 months )  I don't know jack compared to you.  However I have learned a enough to desire more knowledge on how these telephones work.

But the only questions not asked???.....right?

The Picture below is of my ae21 I have been working on ( pix posted last week of current progress),  what are the two and sometimes only one long rectangular boxes called (approx. 2.5" wide, 6" long and a 1/2"  thick) underneath the terminal plate in the pic I posted.  Then there is a ??( Coil ) ?? underneath the terminal plate?? I do not know the name of that piece either.

That brings me to ask you the "cliffs note version" of the two aforementioned items and what and how they work??   And why some have two and a coil thing and others have only one and no coil like thing???

During this, I am waiting on a few accessories and powdercoated items and will post my next brass trim ae50, my 1st totally restored b1 & d1...each with there own subset.

Thanx again to everyone
