Hook for F-type handset

How do you tell the difference in a black painted hook for an F1 handset (for a 181G, 191G etc) from one for a G-type handset (for a 223G, 233G, etc.)? Most of the chrome hooks are for G-type, but I'm talking about black painted hooks. Some have long shafts and some have shafts that are in two parts. I realize that an F handset doesn't seat right in the newer hooks, but there must be some other way to tell the difference.

The F1 cradles are almost always black vs chrome on the G1.The F1 look thinner and larger if I remember
