I was watching a program on the exploration of the wreck of the U.S.S. Arizona. When they came to the officers quarters they captured a photo of the following phone. I'm not sure what it is , is it maybe a Northern Gallion ?
Can you even begin to imagine what that phone is worth ?

Interesting. I wonder how one would display it? :-\

My first idea was that this is a Siemens phone.
Shouldn't be in the U.S.S. Arizona???

My first idea was that this is a Siemens phone...

My guess is probably not (I'd like to see it from another angle to checkout the handset).
I think cradle not the same, and fingerstop not in the same place, but is a close match for a Siemens.
AE handset, so AE.

Other phones also photographed by drone.

Wow, that's cool. It looks like a galion but with all that silt it's hard to say

I had completely forgotten about that thread from 2013. According to research the phone was AE2.

That would explain the curved handset.. And the dial, though the galion had those some. Very cool though.

19and41;

Is the photo of the phone you posted an AE2 ? The base doesn't seem to match the one in the U.S.S. Arizona ?

After taking another look, the base is almost buried in silt. It is a match...

The Arizona phone has a substantial amount of sediment on top of it.  That would alter it's appearance somewhat, but I would wager if you were able to superimpose the images in the correct scale, one would match the other enough to be aparrent.  If you were to imagine the pristine phone with a few pounds of fireplace ashes poured on it, it could resemble the Arizona phone.

The Arizona phone is priceless.  It's entombed in what is now an honored cemetery.
