C'est bien possible que le gars qui a renouvellé le téléphone a débranché la lumière, vu que d'après lui, la lampe ne sert plus à rien.

It's possible that the guy who refurbished the phone disconnected the light, since for him, it no longer served a purpose.

Les fils du transformateur arrivent sur 3 et 4. La lumière est branchée à 2 et 3. Donc, on cherche une moyen d'aller de 4 à 2.

The leads from the transformer go to 3 and 4. The light is connected to 2 and 3. Thus, power is looking for a way to go from 4 to 2.

Disons que le transformateur est toujours branché à la lumière à 3.
Avec le combiné decroché, il y un piste de 4, le fil bleu ou gris-bleu, à travers l'interrupteur, sur le fil orange ou orange-blanc, à 2, à la lumière.

Let us say that the transformer is always connected to the screw shell of the lamp on 3. With the handset off-hook, there is a path from 4, along the blue or slate-blue wire, across the switch hook contacts, through the orange or orange-white lead, to 2, to the lamp.

VEILLEUSE:  NIGHT LIGHT:

Avec le combiné accroché, la lumière est atteinte, sans que le bouton arrière est activè. S'il est engagé, il y a un piste de 4, sur le fils gris-rouge, à travers le bouton arrière, sur le fil vert ou gris-vert, a 1, a travers la resistor, à 2, puis à la lumière.

With the handset in the cradle, the light is extinguished, unless the night-light switch on the back is activated. If it is on, then there is a path from 4, through the slate-red wire, through the night-light switch on the back of the phone, over the green or slate-green wire, to terminal 1, across the resistor, to 2, then to the lamp.
