And the winner of Auction Contest #271 is Dennis Markham who with the 9th entry into the contest offered the winning guess of $225.00 to give him his 12th auction contest win! It's been a long time (48 contests) since his last win so I guess we can cut Mr. 500 a bit of slack in his missing the actual selling price by $0.49. So, a real big congratulations go out to Dennis Markham for another win in the CRPF Auction Contests and for moving up one rung in the Contest Standings. He sure does know his WE 500 prices.

Well, it seems h***m ( 1502 )'s first and only bid of the auction, a bid placed an unusual 29 seconds before the auction ended was the only last minute bidder so with no last second snipes, he took the phone home for a very nice price of $225.49. The phone was listed at $45.00, rose to $162 over the first 5 days and stayed there until the last bid was placed. Seems to have been very little interest in a Med Blue this time around so this ended up being a good deal for the buyer. The auction saw 7 bidders placing 9 bids.

Thanks again to all who played. As always, there is only one way to get on the winner's board or move up a rung - you have to play to win.

Dennis Markham

Thank you, thankyouvurymuch.  A lucky guess.

That is about what the Dark Blue phones were selling for 8 or 9 years ago.  Perhaps having a second one listed on eBay at the same time made a difference in the bidding.
