New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Listed about 1 day ago in a 7 day auction with no reserve and starting at $24.99 is a WE 1955 Mediterranean Blue 500 project phone in seemingly good external physical condition other than its fading. The seller provided only external images but the one with the handset caps off shows the original blue very nicely. The phone comes with what seems to be the original fat grey line cord. The handset cord does not match. Since being listed, the phone received 2 bid from 2 buyer driving the price up to very high $28. It will go higher but again the question is who best knows what the phone will sell for when the auction ends?

NOTE:  We will use a $5 gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, keep your guess at least $5 away from prior guesses for this contest. All guesses, original and a single allowed revised guess if needed, must be submitted at least 24 hours before the auction ends.

The seller listed it as an "1955 Rotary Dial TEAL 500 Desk Telephone Western Electric G - 3 Phone Blue Aqua" with the item condition as "Used" and "See pics and description..." and with the auction listing description saying "Vintage Original Western Electric Rotary Dial Desk Telephone Dated: 12/27/1955 In Teal / Blue / Aqua Color! Great Cosmetic Condition... No Cracks in the Plastic Case... Dial Moves Freely... Was a working phone when removed from the house but I do not have the ability to test the phone now."
