Well between time worrying about my other phones, I found a 1960 Yellow (Autumn Gold) #17 AE80. Other than a cut wall cord, how can somebody do that just a lazy person I guess, it looked good. Opened it up I thought somebody sprinkled Anthrax inside it, well baby powder. So 110psi on the air hose, then plastic into the Simple Green, but one problem the handset cord looked grey yellow before/after the bath and a few H2O rinsings, no change. Yikes!

So here's some pics. First one I hope shows the discoloration, after that well self explanatory.

Trans Tint is a favorite among woodworkers, there's lots of different colors, including white so you can mix to achieve a close match. Rockler has the stuff, but you can order other places too.. I used a solvent base but water is OK too.. Total time 25 minutes in the tint.
