New and not so new forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. There are no wrong guesses, just one lucky guess. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Thanks to FABphones for a link to this auction.

New guesses must be at least £10.00 away from any prior guess.

Everyone is entitled to one (1) guess revision as long as it is posted in a reply at least 24 hours prior to the eBay auction ending.

Seller Description:  "This is a one of the earliest and rarest examples of a Candlestick Telephone. In need of restoration (Please see all the photographs). Believed to be made by "WESTERN ELECTRIC." It has No 1 impressed around the mouth piece. With all original parts and paint work. I believe dating to around 1900 - 1904. A very sought after telephone for the collector of such items. After doing some research, this appears to be the Holy Grail of Candlestick telephones with the added advantage of being a golf ball type No1. Very solid and heavy, weighing just under 2 kilos"

This is started as a "special rules" no winner contest, the best guesser will not be included in the CRPF Auction Contest Hall of Fame or be counted in the CRPF Contest Standings as a win. This one is just for fun, but the best guesser will take a place in the Special Auction Contest Standings.

Do we guess in Dollars or Euros? Since they are not shipping to the US I guess it will be Euros.

UK eBay post Brexit uses Pounds Sterling. Not Euros or US dollars. FABphones or any other member on the other side of the pond can verify or clarify my understanding.
