Anyone watch this NE233QC with subset on eBay

I found this NE233QC Payphone on eBay when it had zero bids. The seller started it at $1 in a 5 day auction.

But, it was Listed in category: Antiques > Other so I'm sure many collectors missed the listing.

I would have bid a lot more than it went for had the listing ended after my work hours - I had no access to a computer when it ended without taking a day of precious vacation.

Over the 5 day listing, it found 8 bidders placing 18 bids and the winner paid only $138.29 plus $30 shipping.

Maybe I'm not seeing something but that seemed like a good deal for someone: a phone in very good shape, keys which may or may not work and the subset.

Any thoughts or comments?

He has listed at least 6 pay phones. It's always a good idea to click on "see seller's other items." Seller said these are from his collection, but he no longer has room to store them.

Here are two more of his sold pay phones that, because of the Ebay delay in reporting, are not shown on his completed list. They sold today:

"GTE Pay phone" sold for $305.65--possibly phonecoinc? Newer red AE name plate on top, fake vault door, but with older style metal dial shroud and coin return escutcheon

"Western Electric Paystation 197G" sold for $162.49--dreaded "Area Code 151" fake instruction card, indicating it's probably from a 1970s reseller; original locks removed; lower section appears to be beige underneath the black. Back is 197G but I'm not sure about the rest. Chrome hook and curved top instruction card assembly are from a 23x.

I agree about the "GTE" paystation being Phoneco creation. The dial and eusc are repro, most likely the vault along with the door are repro also. That GTE logo did not appear until around 1970 so why the type 41 handset?

Same reason there are so many WE 234s with F1 handsets--looks older even if it's not correct part.

Yes, good to do, especially in this case since his listings are all over the place by category and sub category. One would think an old phone would be listed in the old phone eBay category but that is not the case with this seller. Lesson learned.
