B1 from eBay

This was badly painted green. I thought it was gray paint  underneath but there was no black paint underneath. The green came right off.

I thought by the auction pics someone had notched the base for the dial, but it was just a shadow. 

Can't beat the price....perfect bottom as well.

I have never stripped a B1 that both the cradle and the base were the same, usually the base is darker. This came out the way a really nice D1 would. Matching cradle and base. Not finished yet but this is coming out wonderfully. Color is like a nickel, remember nickels!

Cloth cover needs to be cleaned, but is complete in really nice condition.

This was surely a diamond in the rough. Bad news is I don't think I have another E1....Doug
