I saw this very clean 131A subset on Ebay that I though would look nice with my 130 donut phone, but it quickly shot up in price, selling for $1,313.88.  Yikes!

LOL?

SOLD on 9/26 for $1,313 plus change, the auction has ended. The seller parted with it, sold it to one of several stupid buyers bidding on this subset. Supply and demand at work, nothing more and nothing less.

And, thanks, FAB, for adding the detailed images for forum posterity.

This is a really interesting item. An old and unusual subset which is pretty scarce and highly sought after, I would imagine? No gongs, but a ringing system where the metal subset cover is struck by levers operated by the clapper arm (if I have understood correctly?) ....new one on me!
