I'd say it had a case originally. I also can't see how the hookswitch works, which makes me think the cradle assembly is a later addition.
Not 100% it's as old as it perhaps appears?

Decorative stand from something not phone related, a quite huge magneto and a fantasy cradle I'd say.
125,- might be OK though if you have just this magneto and this handset missing on different restoration objects...
BTW wind up phone...
