Found it!

LOL! Bet yours wasn't NOS in original box either.

Absolutely no time related corrosion around the rubber feet on this 1975 phone.

A stunning phone!

It is not new. Rather, it is "C" stock (remanufactured). Note the 4-75 sticker over the original manufacture date.

Also, it is a 2565 HK, not a 2564. Modular handsets (2565 HKM) were shown in a BSP revision of December, 1975. (BSP Section 502-500-120 issue 4 in TCI library)

Okay, got it. My error.

So it's really NO"C"S which while it may not be original manufacturer new it is what I'd consider to be in as close to new condition as one can get and without doing a second of restoration work, cleaning/fixing/polishing. The opposite end of the "condition" spectrum from barn fresh.

It's a very nice phone in great condition that seems to be desired by several bidders. Will be fun to watch the snipes in the last 5 seconds of the auction 5 days from now.

And red phones always get a premium price, regardless of model.

FABphones, thanks for adding the listing images for babybearjs.

Whats the difference between the two?

These have almost completely disappeared from office use, so, as collectors snap them up, they will become more and more valuable.

I was lucky when I got mine years ago. all I did to mine was to change the line cord to work with my system, I added a rotary dial adjunct dial for use with my ICM, a #207/208 intercom system, and changed the faceplate from red to black and changed the receiver caps from red to black along with the receiver cord. I call mine a fireman's phone because of the 2 tone color. absolutely love the phone...

Interesting combination. Can you post a picture or two?

Whats the difference between the two?

2565 has additional leads in the mounting cord (line cord) for adjunct speaker phone and/or exclusion of other stations on one line. It also has additional leads on the dial to mute the speaker when dialing. 2565 has all 50 conductors in the mounting cord. 2564 has 30 or 34.

Nice thanks for the explanation.
Yeah that would look cool with a red speaker.
