What was the evolution on the dial of the WE 302 in terms of the nmbers and letters.  Some dials are just black numbers while others are black numbers and red numbers.  Which cmae first?

Bill, they were both made during the same time period as long as the 5H dial was being produced (1937-1952). The latest 302s (late 1952-1954) had 6A or 6D dials which always had numbers and letters.
