The ONES that got away!

I missed the blue rotary on craigslist. By the time I found it, it was being shipped to California.

My pockets weren't DEEP enough to get the red rotary phone on ebay today.

I'm sure some of you have felt like you missed the BIG ONE before.

These would have definitely been big ones for me.

Can't really say there were any "must haves" on ebay that got away from me.  Mostly because I've been pretty lucky finding them locally via CL.  Sure, there have been several phones on ebay that I salivated over, but were way out of my affordability range, but I don't really count those since I didn't even bid on them.

One I really wanted and that got away recently was a Cracraft-Leich receiver for one of their deskstands from the teens

Here's one I did really want and did place a couple of bids and was actually high bidder for a brief while.  My bid wasn't anywhere near the final one, but that doesn't surprise me.

I had my eye on that one also, but my pockets aren't nearly that deep.  Ray Kotke was the seller. And yes, the phone is in Michigan.
