I have a WE 302 with a metal body and with cloth covered cords.  Is it possible to wire the line cord so it can work off a  two conductor cord, as opposed to a three conductor cord.  The reason I ask is that I have a small telephone switching system, (1 line, 5 extensions) where extensions ring the same way as the American land lines ring but only has connections for two core cables per extension.  It would be great to get this phone to ring like it would have originally.

Thank you in advance

Sure, in fact, originally the 302s intended for use on individual lines or as PBX extensions had 2 conductor cords. Just connect the red ringer wire to L1, the black ringer wire to K, the slate condenser wire to K, and the yellow condenser wire to L2Y. Connect the line to L1 (red) and L2 (green).
