I just got my first WECO 302 phone yesterday, and to be honest it's quite the mutt. I think the only dates on the whole set that match are the base, network and capacitor.

I just got done reassembling the 5H dial, and I noticed the phenol pawl has a notch worn into the head where it should catch on the main gear. I wish I could take a picture and post it, but if I were to carefully apply some thing like JB weld and then sand it down to shape would it work?

Could anyone post a picture of a phenol pawl in good condition for me to reference?

And oh, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I just wanted to check back in and say that I went the Jb Weld route and applied a drop to the tip of the pawl where it catches the notches on the main gear. I let it set over night and carefully shaped it with a sanding disk on a dremel tool.

So far it works great, but we'll just have to see if it holds up after use.
