Hey Guys
That's my overdraft well and truly used for this month- spotted this as a BIN, tried to resist but it didn't work ;)

I do like those phones.

Electrically there are two versions. One is electrically identical to a Tele 162 (contains an AST transformer and requires a Bellset No 1 or No 25) and the other is electrically identical to a Tele 232 (contains an AST induction coil and only requires a bell like a Bellset No 26).

The US equivalent AE 1-A contained no components and required an AST bellset (subset).

Nice find.

Very nice phone.  I've been watching for one of those for a long time, but I'm not sure how to tell the difference between the real Strowger and the Phoneco repro.  Some day I'll get one.

The phoneco repro has a brass base with the same patent dates as a WE 51AL.
