PICS!

I have one set of hinges I do not need. But they are black. Don't know if they are chrome or nickel plated underneath.

Another issue. One of the screws is missing. Not sure if I have another.

Interested Dag?

Ohh I see!!! My hings were missing too. They are really easy to reproduce, just with a sheet of steel

These are all the parts that were missing and I had to make with steel:

The hings

The support of the front nut

The support of the dial

Indeed, nice fabrication. How did you know what shape the hinges were, as they were missing?

Easy, looking for pictures on internet. Looking the telephone by the outside, I figured the hings would be just a plain sheet of steel, with two holes in it, and the two curved parts.. ;)

Thank you, but I'm honest, is not so difficult ;)

All this talk about this model inspired me to start on my own example of this type.

It is coming along very well.

Here are some before and after pics. I'll do a report with more pics later, when I am finished.

Thanks, mostly elbow grease.

And some metal working to get some dents out and there was a little deformation of the baseplate.

I polished the painted parts with a polishing agent called commandant no 4.

The bare metal parts like the screws, nuts, bolts, bells, brackets and hook switch components have been soaked in a mixture of water, washing up liquid and lemon juice before polishing.
