Hello to all,
Friend sent a pic of this item he acquired.  Still in the carton and he hasn't removed it to look for model# etc.  Looking for info and value.
Thanks

Nice answering machine. This one might use 45 rpm records and /or reel tape
Note old Bell logo

Interesting and I suspect heavy. Limited collector interest, but I think the JKL museum or another museum may have interest. I think it is pretty neat, but I wouldn't want to own it.

BTW The JKL museum has always been fair whenever I have dealt with them.

Yes, its heavy, I plan on emailing John or Wayne when I get all the info on the recorder.
Thanks,
Zapper

This is the Bell System KS version of the Electronic Secretary model LP-TD.  It does not use a 45 rpm record.  It uses a small tape loop for the outgoing message, and a standard reel to reel tape for incoming messages.  I have the non Bell System version, which is in a beige cabinet, rather than grey.

There is documentation for a number of them in the TCI Library but first the KS- model number needs to be provided before we can search.
