What is a G3AR3 handset?

To me, it looks like a standard G3 handset with a terminal strip attached  The G3AR3 might me a military part number.  If it is a military item, chances are it was used in some communications application that required a terminal strip too. 

So, unless the seller is willing to see if there is a T1 and a U1 on the transmitter and receiver (which it probably is) you roll the dice and hope it is something you can use.

Replaced by the G3A6, which is shown in the use table.  An earlier issue of the BSP might have more info.

It basically says that it is a regular old black handset.  The terminal strip seems to be something that someone added along the way.
