Once the cord restraint is anchored to a screw, the white & black leads are connected to green & red of the jack and the cover is snapped onto to jack....nothing should ever need to move again!

The Set Cord Red lead could be put with the Set Cord White lead in the jack to get the ringer connected again but maybe it would make more sense to just move the green/white lead off of the Red Set Cord lead inside the phone and add it to the White Set Cord lead inside the phone.

It works!

So, first, let me say THANK YOU everybody here. It was incredibly exciting to hear the phone ring and be able to talk to someone on the other end. Now begins my search for how to dial out.

It's so funny. I used to have a rotary phone as a kid, and I remember thinking how dialling out was this terrible thing. Now, I just love it.
