We will post pictures as we go.
Montreal, a City I never want to drive in again. The people are awesome and they drive like they know what they are doing. My problem is Downtown Old Montreal, the streets are narrow and parking is very limited if you can find a spot. We stayed at the Hotel Travelodge Montreal Centre beside Chinatown. This place has 10 floors of rooms and underground parking for only 36 vehicles on a first come, first served basis. We got there early at 1:30 pm and check in was 3:00 pm. That worked out as we got one of the only 3 spots for handicapped vehicles. Thank god my wife has one of those handicapped permits. If we had not got one of those spots, it would have been a two block walk for parking. As it was the handicapped spots are the larger ones and my truck barely fit. I had to tuck in the mirrors. Next stop Edmundston, New Brunswick for the night, then to Quispamsis New Brunswick. We will visit one of my wife's longtime friends and stay the night. Then we are off to Dave Hunter Museum in PEI.

I'm planning to make the trip to Montreal for the display in August with my truck so thanks for the info.

We made it to the Hello Montreal Bell Exhibit. $25.00 for parking and $20.00 each for admittance. Total $65.00 We went in and It was set up very well, they had a lot of different items on display. I took a lots of pictures. It is a very small exhibit and we were finished in less than an hour. On to the next tour in PEI where the admittance and the parking are FREE!

.....

Some pictures of the older items for Stubbypylon.

Thanks Doug, I was hoping they would have displayed some of the more unique phones they have in the collection, like these:

Nope, nothing like those. I think Bell's exhibit is more for bus tours than the collector.

Take two looks at everything in Daves Museum....one look for you and one for me! I was on PEI and still didn't get to see the museum though I did see Dave and unloaded some CRAP (per Jim S = Communications Related Apparatus & Parts) on him.

I've seen at least one leased 201 at a Sillery, QC store, but I don't believe Bell Canada ever used round base 102s/202s (B1). The photo sheets of desk phones, published by the Bell Canada archives circa 1972, show only the Stromberg-Carlson non-dial handset mountings + the oval base D-type mountings.

Seen these in Saint John, New Brunswick. They were in a mall by the Historical Uptown City Market.

I picked up a 102 round base telephone in Ontario a number of years ago.  It consisted of a WE B1 base but had a NE E1 handset and a NE "N" type dial.  The ATCA listserv discussion at the time believed this might have been a viable practice of Bell Canada prior to the NE 202 D1 introduction.

Here is a photo of Doug and his wife Janice as they arrived at the Telephone Museum of PEI this afternoon today.Doug brought a large number of items for the Museum, and left with quite a bit for himself, and for another Ontario collector. Below are photos of one of the many items brought by him: a 1905 1/25 scale Ford Delivery truck with the Northern Electric logo made by the Telephone Pioneers. I tell people it is our new shop truck.

Dave, you forgot the shirt again. lol

We were there today and had a great time and good conversations. Dave put me to work filling the back of my truck with all kinds of telephone related items. Dave and Linda where kind enough to have us for a light dinner. Two thumbs up to Linda for the great salads. We can't say enough for their kindness. They also have a pair of Humming birds that enjoy buzzing around their deck looking for the nectar that Linda has for them.

Thanks again Dave and Linda

Dave has one similar to your first picture on a wood backboard.

Many pairs in reality. They can be scrappy little morsels. We keep wondering when one of us is going to get skewered when they dive-bomb each other! There have been some close calls, but we love them!

Thanks Doug. I have two 3 Box Blakes and it looked like there was one at the Bell Canada display as well.  However the Blake candlestick is far more scarce and would have been great to see in the flesh.  Here's a picture of one in use.
