Is this really a North. It sure is Pricey. Looks more like a Early AE Handset that was on an AE 34, without the Chrome bands, like mine .....Doug

It is a LATE AE34 handset as found on type 34A3B telephone. It was the updated version of the 34 that was still delivered after the Type 40 set had been introduced.
Or a Type 41 handset with a anti noise "soundbooster" tx cap
