Need help to identify this (Eiffel Tower telephone) Skeleton telephone.
The telephone is LME, the tube is marked Elektrisk Bureau Kristiania
Strange with such a socket for the telephone handset, and such a wall socket.
The number on the bakelite plate is 77360.

Very nice indeed!
I can't help with specifics but there is good general information on these here - https://www.nostalgietelefon.de/Eiffel/06Skeletons%20lo-res.pdf

I was about to post the same info as tubaman. A good selection on that link to browse and learn from.

Great find, an excellent addition to your collection.

Great find DSK..It's not in Quebec that you can find that, except that a person would have bought one or more. But I think it's a rare, very rare piece you have there. I do not know this kind of phone on the other hand, I am more like around the 20s to 90s for phones. However , it is not said that I will not have one , one day . For the moment . it's way too expensive for me and often I'm happy and rinse my eye out for those who show it here ;)

I'm leaning towards this being a Type AC 130/40, but I cannot find a match for that handset.

Would you add a photo of each side looking straight at the phone, so we can see the complete phone in each image.

Thank you! According to this: https://www.nostalgietelefon.de/Eiffel/06Skeletons%20lo-res.pdf
it seems to the pictured one with a replaced handset.
I shall try to take pictures from about the same angles.

More pictures, and yes it works, but the transmitter has a weak sound.

This site shows the serial number list and dates for LME phones. Your serial number is 77360. It also has links to other great information.

Thank you!
Great info, made 1895 :)

Actually that serial number dates to 1895.
I think yours is the AC110 which was introduced in 1892.
It appears your handset might have been replaced at a later date.
Another good point is your painted decorated legs which was usually for private use. From what Ive read, the public places, post offices, etc. etc. only bought units with solid black painted legs, for budget reasons.
Very nice find.

A collector in France calls this "une machine a coudre" (a sewing machine) rather than a "skeleton."

In any case, it looks like a sewing machine, no doubt about it, David .
