Since Dennis no longer is in the plating business, who do you use? I have real Nice *229* dial plate that got something spilled on it before I owned it and Brass is now showing through...thanks....Doug

Check out New England Chrome Plating. Would be about $20.00 for the faceplate.

I started doing my own with Caswell's Plating kits.
Great for small parts like we have.
You can do a lot of parts with one kit. They have several different varieties for different types of finishes. Copy Chrome, Nickel Plate, Silver plate.
Easy to use and cheap.

Four years ago I inquired about plating a small handle and received this response: "...we have a minimum charge of 50.00 per order." If they've changed that policy, it's good news.

There are several companies that offer these electro-plating  kits. I have never tried them however, I have seen very nice  results.

Doug,
I think you are one of the people that would get very nice results.

These kits are typically sold as gun plating kits.

Its quite possible. I do a lot of business with them so that is likely why I can send one piece at a time. If anyone wants to piggy back when I do a run, just shoot me a PM.

John LaRose does plating for phone collectors. I do not know if he is on here but if not I can dig up his contact info if anyone needs it.

Jim;
That is pretty much along the same lines as Caswell.  I didn't know about Micromark.

The  caswell kits seemed  kinda pricey.
Back in the day, many collectors used a kit from Texas plating. It used to be cheap.
One day I might by a kit to play with.
