Hey Bill, if you are out there, I used your advice from last year here on the forum to wire a 202 to a NOS 856 subset I was lucky enough to find.  This new in the box subset had the hard wire from the network in the "wrong" place on the terminal strip and this was keeping it from getting a dial tone, and a jumper from the network to L1 that was keeping it from breaking dial tone.  I fixed these, followed your directions, and voila!  It works like new.  Wonder why this "new" subset had those initial issues?  Anyway Bill if you're out there, thanks from another grateful phonehead.
