A site visitor sent several photos of "a strange 302" estate sale find for identification.

I responded with my first impressions and am interested to hear what creative uses this group can find for this modified (OK - butchered) 302.

How long do you think it will take her to list it on ebay?

It looks like a waste of a good phone.

I dunno, but it's got a white body with plastic fingerwheel J dial in it.   You could definitely call it a dial donor for a color 302.

It looks like a stage prop to me. The floor tread thing may be a floor switch to make the bell ring, either located on the set or offstage. Butchered is right. That's not nearly a working 302.

I think you're on to something there, Jonathan.  It's good for parts......

Looks like a nice 5J dial with parts to fix up another phone. Dial is a keeper for your color 302s or Continental sets.....Doug

The stage prop theory sounds plausible.  There certainly appear to be some usable parts there.
