I see forum member Jeff Lamb's space!....I wish there was a phone show reasonably close to me in NC!...When I see what Doug Rose and Jan come home with, I get very jealous!

Benny...I have never been to a phone show.  I have never slept late on a weekend.    On weekends Jan and I are out at yard sales and flea markets. The early bird get the phone. It is a LOT of work. Jan shares my enthusiasm. The Best phones I keep , the others get cleaned up to go to other collections.

Check CL Friday night for your Sat and Sunday Yard sales. Make a plan to you are not bouncing around, time is money. Go to your local Flea Markets.

I feel at a show,  a collector is is looking to sell their phones at a deal so everyone is happy, but nothing like you find in the Wild!!!

Just my humble opinion.

I love collecting telephones and it is a wonderful second job selling them....Doug

Yes, Benny you did see Jeff Lamb's spot. But he donated it to Dave Hunter for some of the items I brought back from Dave's Museum. It as good turn out and got to meet some other members from this forum.

Then you would have loved the auction at the end. Many many phones sold at a dollar. Albeit, they were't sought after items.

Matt .....    You and the OPW crew did a great job of organizing the show and finding a place to hold it.    It had easy to access to cart stuff in and out, and had ample parking, AND, it was well attended I thought.

Wish I could have been there! Sounds like it was great! Was thinking about it all day. But had I been there, I would have just been spending money I didn't have  Don't know where the tax and insurance money is going to come from next year since my income dropped so much at 65!

Yes kudos to Matt and all who helped organize the event!  My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was great to finally put some faces to names as well as catch up with with others.

Thanks a lot guys! It was way more work than I originally started this. There were a few hiccups along the way, but I will use those as a learning opportunity for next years show.
