Rarely see something I've never seen but that happened today. Walking through an antique store, this typewriter (actual picture on the left) was sitting on an aisle corner. It looked strange because of the way the letters struck the roller. The keys struck the paper where it laid flat on top of the roller. Would make it very difficult to see what one was typing, unless they never made a mistake and didn't have to watch.

Lot of these on eBay sold from $20 to $500. Just never saw one before. They were around from 1907 to 1914, from what I quickly found. From the less than NOS condition and the $125 price, it may be there for some time to come.
