I 'm new to the art of "phone restoration, collecting" and I have the bug. I have a SC Fat boy, and having transmitting problems. I have a new transmitter element and thought that was my original problem but it wasn't. The cords have been tested and are fine. I then tried a receiver handset from another phone that I knew worked. Same problem can hear the other parties but they cannot hear me. I used the wiring diagram from TIC library. I believe I have the phone wired wrong any suggestions. I currently have the "yellow (trans) wire going to "G" with a jumper wire going from "G" an AE Dial. The phone dials out receives calls and I can hear the other party... any suggestions for a newbie would be appreciated

I don't have any experience with the 1212, but it sure sounds like a wiring issue.  I don't have a diagram for one, but have you examined the S-C 1243 diagram?  It could apply to yours as well...or not!  I've got some diagrams here:

Where have you been hiding those diagrams, Mark?? ;D
