I write historical-fiction, so I like to check out Project Gutenberg everyday to see what they have new; I never know when I'll find fodder for one of my books.  I found this one today called, "THE STORY OF A DOCTOR'S TELEPHONE—TOLD BY HIS WIFE" from 1912; the link can be found here if you'd like to read it on line or load it onto some type of e-reader:

Pretty fascinating story-it harkens back to simpler times when most of our country was either the city or the country.  I wonder exactly where in Illinois the setting?
