Janet found this stick a few weeks ago with a flashlight early morning at a Flea Market. When she brought it home I wasn't really impressed. The black paint was horrible and there was a lot of surface oxidation. plus it has a repro MP. I was impressed that it was a Couch from Quincy MA, My first apartment was in Quincy. After getting my eBay phones ready, I thought I'd strip this and ready it to paint. It was a hard strip as the paint that was left didn't want to come off. More skin from my hands was coming off than paint. Ruined a few pairs of gloves. A lot of light surface oxidation still. After stripping, steel wool. Wire brush on drill, Noxon, more steel wool and a final wire brush this looks fairly nice. I'm not sure now if I'll paint or leave as is. I am not much of a painter. Couch must have used SC parts as it looks very similar to the SC ball sticks. I had a bakelite MP to fit and I am happy with it. Time for a beer....Doug
