Japanese WW2 Bakelite Telephone

I picked this up on FB for $60 Delivered!

It does look like this was never used. Bakelite just shines.

Only damage is a missing grate broken off the transmitter.

It is a NEC and is marked on the receiver, Fingerwheel and shell.

Have seen many of those snapped away, They repair easily enough if you have the piece.

I'd be interested to see the insides too as that finger stop makes me thinks there's a GPO No 10 type dial in there.

The dial is a #10 type but screws are a different thread .

Possibly. I have a WW2 period GPO 332 that has cork feet whereas usually they would be rubber. A wartime contingency perhaps?
