I like a few of the "one hit wonders" from over the years, but my favorite is-
Life is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me), by Reunion. 1974
You Tube has a fun video to go along with it.
I get insomnia, and can't afford cable, so it's either this kind of stuff or infomercials

It's difficult to pick just one.  The first one that comes to my mind is In The Year 2525 by Zager & Evans.  I also liked The Rapper by Jaggerz, and Ma Belle Amie by the Tee Set.

Good question.  There are many great One Hit Wonders.

Dennis.....when I first heard My Belle Amie, I thought they were singing about a NBA player of that era. Walt Bellamy...try it, you'll like it....Doug

That's funny, Doug.  That could be the subject of another "off topic" conversation.  Song lyrics that aren't what we thought they were.  When I was young and first heard The Buckinghams sing Kind of a Drag, I thought they were saying "Canada Dry".....a soft drink maker.

Phoniac

Dennis, That's like I heard "In the garden of Eden" when everyone at that time swore it was "inagaddadavida".

Great topic!  I would have picked Life Is A Rock too, but since that was taken, my next favorite OHW would be Stuck In The Middle With You by Steelers Wheel.

Unfortunately, the singer on that song, Gerry Rafferty, just passed away (on Jan. 4).

Dave, that is a good one.  There were so many good ones it's difficult to pick just one.

Tough question!  How about Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes by Edison Lighthouse.

I don't know for sure if Stealers Wheel only had this one hit, but it's called that.
"Stuck in the Middle with You", Gerry Rafferty.

The More People I meet, The More I Love, and MISS My Dog.  Dan Robinson

Great Topic Jim!

Real hard to pick one but I think I'm with Phoniac...."The Oneders" was supposed to be "The Wonders" but everyone trying to figure out what the groups name was came up with "The Ohh Needers!" Loved the movie too.....
