I have a 3 slot Northern Electric payphone. (I don't know the model)
Are there differences between the 2 brands if they have the same model number?

The model is a NE233 AQ.  All 233 types similar enough to use the same wiring?

Yes.  At least that is my experience.  If you need any help with the wiring, let me know.

I tried looking up the code numbers and letters for my NE233AQ and couldn't find out what the AQ part stood for.  Are NE's suffix codes different than WE's codes?  I sort of understand the 233 part of the code.
