Does that go for "anyone" .... or just Remco  ;D

One day...soon....I hope....

Here's me wanting really badly to go, and having a PBX to install that day.

So we'll see if I can at least get the morning off and start the install in the afternoon.

That goes for anyone coming to South Florida!

Terry, you already had an invite when you were here but chose to blow me off ;D

I know, things were too complicated. Had we planned that trip rather than my parents, we would have been staying for at least a week or so in Florida after the cruise. Then as it turned out my dad was operated on that very day which was the beginning of the last 5 1/2 months of his life.

Next time....

I remember the circumstances. The invitation remains open :)

After driving for almost an hour, we get there only to find out it was over before noon even though the announcement said 1:00.

What a waste of time. :(

I got there around Noon-ish and there were still folks around.  Met up with Gary, who is every bit as great a guy as others have said, and a friend of his whose name escapes me at the moment but I have his card.  Picked up a bunch of stuff including two or three boxes full of misc. AE and a handful of Gary's gaskets and cords etc.  And made plans to hang out with the folks in January when there's going to be a work session at a telecoms museum in Stockton.

So, Bigdaddylove, you should have stuck around, there was at least a chance to chat and meet folks in person who we otherwise only see around here online.  And maybe make plans for subsequent get-togethers.

Though, yes I agree, these need to be held at hours that are more accessible.  Starting something at 8AM on a Saturday is great for the earlybirds, but "not so great" for the night owls who will end up arriving late, and stopping at 1PM discourages folks who might otherwise go.  I'd suggest going from 10AM to 4PM, and I'd bet anyone a whole pizza at their favorite pizza joint, that attendance would just about double.

Meanwhile, one of my colleagues is right now in the field finishing up the PBX installation, and I'm logged in remotely changing extension numbers, so I've gotta get back to that.

Remember that I am about 5 hours drive from Seattle, and depending on the day, I would be very interested in meeting up with you there.

Time to plan a "work" field trip. Gary mentioned that they may not be talking a Tuesday (Jan 3) but rather may be making arrangements to get the museum opened for them. They are talking very early January I believe.
