New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Just listed ( and thanks to a tip from Fabius for the heads up ) is this Chicago Potbelly with an OST receiver which seems to be in fairly good condition but missing the internals and cords. It was listed in a 7 day auction with no reserve starting at $9.99 plus $20.00 shipping and within the first two hours has received two bids setting the current price at $51.86.

With that said, once again, who knows best what this interesting candlestick will sell for when the bidding ends?

The seller listed it as an "Antique Chicago Telephone Supply Elkhart, Ind. Chrome and Black Phone" with the item condition as "Used" and " - - - " with the auction listing description as "Antique Chicago Telephone Supply Elkhart, Ind. Chrome and Black Phone. ***May Have Some Pitting Please Look Carefully at Photos***  Please see pictures and consider them as part of the description." As such, all photos provided in the eBay listing are provided below.

NOTE: we will use a 3% gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, guess gaps of 6+% can be split. I'll help with these as the auction goes forward and guesses are entered.

It's another chance to move up a rung or to get onto the CRPF -> Contest Standings <- list,

. . . for as twocvbloke said,   ---> "You gotta be in it to win it !!!" ;D "

The winner of Auction Contest #146 is wds, who with the 1st entry into the contest offered the winning guess of $475.00 giving him his 3rd auction contest win. Once again, our congratulations go out to wds for another win in the CRPF Auction Contests and for moving up one rung in the Contest Standings.

The phone was won by z***o ( 174 ) with his one and only bid of the auction, a bid placed an hour before the auction ended. The phone received no last second snipes so he took the phone home for a mere $382.77, well below what the members of the forum thought it would sell for in the end.

Check out the updated Contest Standings to see who's who through 147 contests and the latest additions to the CRPF Hall of Fame

Thanks again to all who played. As always, there is only one way to get on the winner's board or move up a rung - you have to play to win.
