Thank you! I will give it a shot tomorrow.

The adaptor bugs me. Ill have to tape the two ends together as its not a sung fit around the prongs, therefor it just falls off. :P Oh well. It works.

If it is wired for party line signaling with the yellow and green connected together in the 4-prong plug, here is how it should go:

Red line cord to L2 on the network
Green line cord to L1 on the network
If the black ringer wire is connected to G on the network, then connect the yellow wire to G.

The black line cord wire is not normally used.

Did you ever find out what that switch was for, and did you remove it or leave it in?

The switch was rigged for power to the phone. When off nothing could be done on the phone.

I disconnected the wiring and am going to remove it eventually, since its not original.


PS. I will try your wiring setup if the other one doesn't work out

Still not working. Just getting that electric hum in the headset when its off the plungers.

I am afraid I cannot answer that.  Can you take a good close-up photo of the wiring, as it exists now?
