Does anyone know what this model is or anything else about it?

So this one isn't quite as ill-conceived as I thought?

A bunch of them hit ebay many years ago.  I will even admit (under duress) to having acquired a few for my collection.  I currently have an orange one on display, having swapped it for the purple one about 6 months ago.

I don't have them all yet.  (Not that I'm trying that hard!)   ::)

Here are some auction photos.

The company is 田村電機 from what I can read (Tamura Denki) and the model is パルジュ (Parujuu).

You can see it on this page:

Thank you for the info.  I really like the green and purple ones.  My discolored yellow one should be here tomorrow: ebay link.  I would guess that these were made in the late 1960s to early 70s.

If that's the same Tamura, they're still around, making a variety of electronic products but specializing in transformers and inductors- audio and telephone transformers are two of their big items.

That's one neat-o phone.  I've got a question about another plastic phone, this one apparently from Sweden, which I'll post as another topic.

A quick research shows that the romaji version (words using alphabet) of that model should be spelt "Par-je" not "paru-juu" (Japanese can not pronounce double consonants so their transcription of western words is always strange)

Here is an add from 1974 (Showa 49)

Colors advertised are: white, violet (purple), orange, yellow and green.

I cannot decipher very well but the price tag is 21,000 yen maybe with installation cost though.
