Title: Vented 1937 302
Post by: wds on May 04, 2013, 03:56:08 PM
Finally got a vented 302.  Everything seems to be stamped 1937.  Small plungers, vent under the cradle.  Interesting dial - clearly stamped 37, but is also stamped 5H.  Dials smooth - doesn't have the clicking sound like the #2 or 4, although it looks like a recycled #2.  Pretty dirty, but I've cleaned up worse.  This is my next project phone.  Handset is newer, with parts dated 41 and newer, so I will replace with a nice E1.

That would be a cool project phone.  A lot of TLC, and a challenge.  Always a balance between removing rust and corrosion versus keeping as much original, including dates.  Preserving dates might not be possible in this case.
