Found a cool red hot Italian....

I was vaguely familiar with the "Grillo" phone. What a great design! I found this at my favorite flea-tique show today (same place I got my avatar mushroom). Works GREAT , from 1965 and only $20. I will post pictures. Mine is red with  black cords.

It reminds me of my flip phone cell phone that I had until last year and then got a smart phone. The ringer is in the wall plug and it chirps and buzzes. Grillo means "cricket" in Italian.

This is now the coolest rotary phone in design to me, replacing the Ericophon, because it is so easy to use. I will post pictures later, but here is a link to let you guys see what a "Grillo"  is like.

I have a White Grillo with a clear back. I think it was a production model but was probably a limited run, I have heard of several.

Your photo is much nicer than mine. Yours makes #4 that I have heard of. So far they are all white with the clear back.

It is in really great shape, I bought it to sell and I couldn't part with it. I does work.....Doug
