Thanks to the wealth of information here getting my 555 board operational was a breeze.

I used a Lorain 1A2 Power supply as the original supply that came with it needs repair work for it.  But I was able to make a test call with it and it worked great :)

Here is a pic of the board in its final place.

Sorry for threadjacking, but I'm not sure where to put this Q and I think you or someone interested in cordboards may know the answer.

How do you replace the bulb in one of those switchboard lamps? I see two slots in the ring around the lens...is there a special tool to take the lens off? Replacing from the rear looks impractical.

(I have a TTS-26B signalling test set that uses those indicators and one of them has a dead bulb)

Many thanks!

(of course, it would be a special WE tool...)

Update: ordered off eBay...more tools for the "UniTool drawer" :-)

This is what the 553A tool looks like.  Some have a plain handle and are unmarked.
If you have trouble finding one, I might have a spare.  I don't have a 319B.

All good, thanks for the generous offer, though. Probably overpaid on the 'bay, but they're less expensive than new!

I love bringing old gear back to working condition. You learn so much (really).

Here is a 319B cap extractor.
