Hey Dylan,

This is really neat.  Playing around, I called the NY and CA gateways, and noticed a lot of jitter.  Is this a known issue?

I'd like to participate at some point in the near future, because the old network sounds are addictive.  Can the system be used to dial-out to the PSTN, or does it just manage inbound?

Thanks!

Currently you can only dial into NoveltyPSTN via the PSTN at those gateways numbers and not vica versa.

Those get bad latency/jitter because they are almost free to operate, And not the best of quality,

But actually calling into the network via a real number on it with a decent internet connection (5Mbps or over) It works very well.

I am able to call into the UK (We have several members there) Without hardly any packet loss or jitter, Very amazing!

I would be happy to help you get on the network!

Forum members Harry Smith, RB & DSK Are already on the network :)

There are a little over 24ish members in 5 countries.
With over 150,000 provisioned numbers and almost 2,000 numbers in the directory.

If you want cool numbers to dial,

Dial into Rudy Valencia's Switch at 677,

Try dialing 677-2323 from two phones and you will see how analog the tape-based intercept system and how cool it is!
