This was just posted to the lists: http://www.ebay.com/itm/350610393026
People are asking if anyone can ID it. What do you think?
My guess is homemade with some Erriccson influence.

Cuckoo Clock Phone!  ???

A one of a kind (hopefully), cobbled together intercom.

Is that an Automatic Electric induction coil and Western Electric central office wire connecting it together?

Are the gongs from a C4 ringer?

It would be interesting to see the transmitter. I am going to guess it is a N1 from an operator' headset.

The A.C. cord and switch was most likely used to signal the other party.

Had a similar one at COT.All working parts were LME. I think it came from the middle east

Not sure where COT was but the induction coil looks A.E. and the wire seems to be W.E. c.o. hook-up wire.

Also guessing the gongs came off of a C4 ringer.

A number of wires look to be disconnected.

COT = Chicago Old Telephones

Terry- doesn't the induction coil look like an A.E. with the outer wrapper removed?

AE_Collector

I hadn't looked at all of the ebaY pictures. Now that I have, yes it looks a lot like the coil from an AE 40 or 50.

TelePlay

It just broke $200 with a day or so to go.

That porcelain push button switch is interesting. Someone must know something about this phone other than the switch.

sebbel

This is perhaps the ugliest phone ever made.

You would almost feel like a pervert talking into it!

In my opinion, it belongs in the hideous phones thread... :D

And I can't help but think that it'd be a nightmare in a thunderstorm... :o
