That handset looks like the modified F1 I've read about here someplace. Someone help me out here where did I read about the F1 style handset, seems it had the smoother top, rounded ends, and no ridge like the standard model. More of a flat top.

  The Connecticut handsets aren't bakelite, they're some type of plastic. The transmitter cap is a smaller diameter than those on the F1 handsets.

  Larry that's a nice phone you have by the way. If you do get in touch with oldphoneworks, find out if they have any handsets marked for the TA-166U or if they are all  TP-6.
