One more thing that's interesting about this phone to me is the length of the handset cord. Most hardwired handset cords that I've seen are frustratingly short. The cord on my WE 1500 (The Beast!) is so short, having the earlier small diameter coils, that I wouldn't feel comfortable using it for anything other than a desk phone.
